Carrièrevoorlichting vanuit de sector

Tijdens afgelopen editie van BCF Career Event op jl. 11 mei 2017 werd er carrièrevoorlichting gegeven. Dit hield in dat professionals werkzaam in verschillende functies en organisaties binnen de Life Sciences vertellden over hun loopbaan, huidige functie en werkgever. Via deze professionals kon je geïnformeerd worden over hoe het is om binnen een bepaalde functie of organisatie werkzaam te zijn en ontving je tips over hoe je in een bepaalde functie terecht kan komen. De meeste van deze professionals gaven ook een presentatie tijdens de 'carriere pitches' in het programma.

Noortje Smits

Research Technician, RIVM
Noortje studied at Utrecht University for her bachelor and master biomedical sciences, after graduation she first worked as a research technician at the AMC, currently she’s been working for several years at the RIVM as a research technician investigating novel approaches to define waning of the aging immune system combating infectious disease. >> continue reading

Marcel Scheepstra

Marcel Scheepstra

Senior Scientist, Mercachem
Marcel Scheepstra completed his master at the TU/e, working on the synthesis of natural product inspired small molecules for nuclear receptors. In 2012, he started as a PhD candidate studying chemically induced post-translational modifications and their role in antibiotic resistance. After obtaining his PhD in 2016, he started as senior scientist in medicinal chemistry at Mercachem. >> continue reading

Gemma Moiset Coll

Gemma obtained her PhD degree from the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen working in the interface of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Chemistry in the lab of Prof. dr. Bert Poolman. After graduation, Petra started her Top Institute Pharma PhD project in the group of Molecular Pharmacology. In 2011 she obtained her PhD degree. Next, she travelled for several months and then got a position in the Biochemical Support Group at Sanquin Plasma Products. Boaz van Driel

Boaz van Driel

Life science and business consultant, ttopstart
Boaz van Driel received his academic degrees at the Utrecht University. During his BSc in Biomedical Sciences, he took an interest in immunology because it is widely applicable in (bio)medical sciences. He pursued a MSc in Immunology.
